Who this is for

Sing for Hope Artist Notifications is a text-message program for artists who are booked for performances through the Sing for Hope artist portal at artists.singforhope.org. It is not a marketing or advertising program — every message is about the artist's own bookings.

What messages we send

If you opt in, you may receive these seven kinds of text message:

• Event invitation — an opportunity to perform at a Sing for Hope event
• Invitation reminder — a nudge when an invitation is still waiting on your answer
• Booking confirmation — confirmation that your performance is booked
• Performance-date offers — available dates we can offer you for a confirmed booking
• 24-hour pre-event reminder — a reminder the day before your performance
• Event-starting reminder — a reminder shortly before your performance begins
• Payout processed — notice that payment for a performance has been sent

How to opt in

Text messages are off by default. An artist turns them on themselves, inside their own portal account:

1. Log in at artists.singforhope.org using the single-use magic link we email to the address on file.
2. Open Profile.
3. Go to the Personal information tab.
4. Under Communication preferences, tick the box labeled "Text me reminders about my gigs".

The box is unchecked by default — nobody is enrolled without ticking it — and a mobile number must be saved on the profile before we can send anything. Consent is not a condition of performing with Sing for Hope, of being booked, or of being paid. Artists who never opt in continue to receive everything by email.

What the opt-in looks like

The consent screen sits inside each artist's own account, so it cannot be reached without signing in. This is that screen — the Communication preferences section of Profile → Personal information, exactly as an artist sees it before opting in:

Get SMS reminders about your Sing for Hope bookings and upcoming performances. Msg frequency varies. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP anytime to opt out, or HELP for help. You'll still receive emails either way.

Message frequency

Message frequency varies with the artist's bookings, typically a few messages per month. Messages are sent in response to invitations, confirmations, upcoming performances, and payouts, so an artist with no bookings in a given month may receive none.

Costs

Message and data rates may apply. Sing for Hope does not charge for these messages, but your mobile carrier's standard messaging and data charges do apply. Delivery is subject to your carrier and is not guaranteed.

Opting out and getting help

Reply STOP to opt out. You can send it in reply to any message from us. We also honor CANCEL, QUIT, OPTOUT, UNSUBSCRIBE, STOPALL, REVOKE, and END. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further texts.

Reply HELP for help. We also answer INFO. Or email emcee@singforhope.org.

You can also turn texts off at any time by logging in to the portal and unticking "Text me reminders about my gigs" under Profile → Personal information → Communication preferences. Opting out of texts never affects bookings, payments, or the emails we send.

Your mobile information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent is not shared with any third parties. We use a messaging provider solely to deliver these messages on our behalf.
